Currently I live in Costa Rica. Even though I am Dutch. I was born, raised and educated in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

I am a Mom of one and working as a Operation & Sales manager in the popular tourism sector of Costa Rica. Working with over 30 clients a day and taking care of a toddler, Multitasking is my most used skill.

After finishing my high school I was dying to leave my home, my friends and routines for a while to experience something else, something more. So I left to Salamanca, a small city in Spain, to study Spanish. There I found out how much I like it to learn from different people and different cultures and that with a new language a whole new world of possibilities opens in front of you.

Back in Amsterdam I did a Bachelor on Education, a master in Second Language Learning, and a CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH level 2 Certificate in ESOL International Advanced. I started teaching on a multicultural elementary school where they promote a multidisciplinary modern form of education. However how much I liked it to teach, I felt that it was not my place… I needed to travel, to widen my horizon, to explore more of the world and learn about myself.

In 2017 I started first to sail the Caribbean Seas with my sister, then I traveled through the whole continent of Central-America (finally my Spanish was a of great value) where I got a lot of experience in dealing and working with different people from different places and cultures. And I found the place where I want to live… in Costa Rica in a small but active town, close to the ocean and surrounded by amazing nature.

During my journey I learned to valorize my own qualities. I am punctual and very organized. I have good communicative skills in Dutch English and Spanish and a basic understanding of German and French. I can work hard. And I love to work with people from all over the world.
